Bear with me as we clear the room of all the negative energy around solar PV. I promise by the fourth paragraph you’re going to be extremely curious to hear my solutions to rooftop solar.
People who have solar panels on their house either love them or hate them. If you had a solid rep size the system correctly, then your monthly bills are low and life is good. However, some customers still have high bills, they are enrolled in the wrong utility buyback program, or they simply got lied to at the kitchen table by an inexperienced “roof hole” trying to make a quick commission check.
Whether they work or not, realtors and most roofers hate solar panels as well. It’s not much, if any, added value to a home without battery backup in a resale. And speaking of holes, roofers will void warranties or threaten new roof purchasers who push the idea of adding power to their house top.
BUT WHAT IF SOLAR DIDN’T HAVE TO BE INSTALLED ON A ROOF? Yes, I yelled for everyone in the back who shut down their minds as soon as I said solar. Let me introduce to you Craftstrom, America’s first plug and play, gridless and roofless solar alternative!
Triple C Power Roofing has partnered as Texas’ first dealer with a company that is so innovative all the utility companies nationwide are going to hate them with a passion and can’t do a thing about it.
Craftstrom’s engineers have a patented technology that allows flexible, bifacial, eight pound solar panels to sit on small ground mounts, bracket onto your fence, or even sit on top of garages, patios and pergolas. These systems literally plug into an outdoor outlet and back feed into your electric panel, telling the grid to STOP. Stop giving me your delivery charges and over-priced retail electricity costs.
This new technology is aimed to achieve affordability. It’s half the price of conventional solar you see on your neighbor’s house, and because it won’t feed back to the grid (because it is metered in your garage) for just a small amount of battery add-on, which is more than 50% less than what other solar companies are offering, you can store it locally instead of selling it back.
Last but not least, this solar is portable. It has no agreements, no second liens (realtors love hearing that) and most importantly, wait for it, you no longer have to drill holes in your roof! So, if you plan on moving in four years, no problem, just pack it up and tie it into your next house. If eligible, customers will still receive the federal tax credit as long as it exists.
At the end of April, Center Point energy announced just a little spike in their services to Texas energy customers to help manage payment on a $400 million loss they took after Derecho and Beryl. This, just months after they promised to not raise prices after storms. Figures.
Although TNMP has not been in the news, when one utility goes up in price, it sets the market. Hurricane season is here. Storms are an excuse to claim more money for many industries.
By choking off the grid with ten or twenty Craftstrom solar panels in your backyard, you avoid those additional fees while driving down your monthly electric bills. If you already have solar, this system can be added on top of what you had and fix the mistake that salesperson made inside your house.
As your trusted roofing and solar expert here in Kemah, it’s time to take advantage of the sunny shores without being taken advantage of by sleezy solar companies. I’m here with alternatives and solutions and I promise you that I’m not a roof hole!
Next month I’ll explain the affordable and portable BATTERY BACKUP offered by Craftstrom.
